Heath Wills, MD
Chief Executive Officer and Chief Science Officer

Dr. Wills is the co-founder of CUUR Diagnostics and Assurity Labs and services as Chief Executive and Chief Science Officer.

Dr. Wills was born in Dorchester, England and raised in New Zealand. Dr. Wills earned degrees in Chemistry and Mathematics at University of Nevada in Reno; he continued his studies to earn a Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Wills completed a residency in anesthesia at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

After six years of practice in anesthesia, in 2011 Dr. Wills started his own practice, Monos Health in Las Vegas. Over eight years Monos Health grew to be one of the largest pain management and addiction medicine practices. During this time Dr. Wills led the development of 215 Surgery Center, a Joint Commission, accredited multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center.

After going through the process of developing a medical lab for his own practice, Dr. Wills saw an opportunity to create the same model for other health care providers. Assurity Labs and CUUR Diagnostics were developed to develop complex medical lab solutions and provide outsourced lab services for other health care providers.

Patricia Wills
Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Patricia (Trish) is the co-founder of Assurity Labs and CUUR Diagnostics and leads all operational and servicing components. Trish was born in Dallas Texas and raised in Reno, NV. She studied at University of Nevada-Reno focusing on Applied Behavior Analysis. Trish was part of the launch team of Monos Health, which developed to become one of the largest pain management clinics in Las Vegas. She led key projects in the clinic and surgery center build out, and eventually served as the COO of the clinic. Trish was then co-founder and COO of Assurity Labs, leading all aspects of operations including lab services implementation for new clients, client servicing, billing and finance.

Christine Dura, M.Ed.
Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer

Christine is responsible for all aspects of the company strategy, enterprise level business development and Government Affairs for CUUR Diagnostics.

Christine has 30 years of quantifiable executive leadership experience; successfully leading world-class sales and operations teams ranging from startups to Fortune 100 companies. She is an expert at identifying the most critical gaps slowing growth and implementing the strategies and processes required to drive results. Christine excels at identifying and managing joint ventures and strategic partnerships to significantly increase the company’s footprint, expand market share, and generate sustainable revenue and EBIT gains. Her proven successes and Graduate Degree in Training and Development shaped Christine’s uncanny ability to lead CUUR Diagnostics to identify opportunities, build mutually rewarding partnerships and produce remarkable results.

James C. Sheldon, MBA
Vice President and Chief Growth Officer

James (Jim) is responsible for all aspects of business and revenue growth for the CUUR Diagnostics and Assurity Labs.

Jim has over 25 years of executive sales management and leadership experience in the healthcare industry. Prior, Jim founded and led a specialty healthcare consulting group with operations in 5 states. His firm specializes in full-service consulting for a variety of health care providers including some of the nation’s largest healthcare systems. Jim earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of San Diego and a Master of Business Administration from California State University – Fullerton.

Scott Farmer
Vice President – Marketing and Brand Management

Scott has over 35 years of marketing, design and leadership experience that has been forged in the demanding and fast-paced agency environment with a proven track record of developing corporate brands and creating campaigns that drive both growth and revenue.

His success includes agency ownership in both Washington, D.C. and Phoenix, AZ where he regularly helped clients from the entrepreneurial startup level through fortune 100 across the technology, defense, security, healthcare, retail, financial, professional services, and franchise sectors. Scott’s combined agency ownership and executive level experience provides him with a unique perspective on how to position, develop, and grow CUUR Diagnostics within multiple markets.

James Jernee
Vice President – Diagnostics Laboratory Operations

James (Jim) Jernee has over 20 years of experience in clinical laboratory science ranging from corporate R&D, major pharmaceutical and start-ups. He has led the complete build-out of laboratories, ensuring high productivity, quality and compliance. Jim has worked in multiple clinical laboratory environments and is highly experienced in all aspects of technical operations including lab instrumentation and qPCR platforms including from Thermo Fisher, Waters, Shimadzu and Agilent. 

D’Arcy M Downs-Vollbracht
Healthcare Attorney

D’Arcy Downs-Vollbracht’s practice is focused in healthcare compliance, transactions and regulatory matters for physicians and other health care providers, and healthcare organizations. This includes medical board investigations and licensing, HIPAA, Stark, fraud and abuse, risk management, physician employment, compensation and contracting, joint ventures, practice formation, separation, partnerships and wind down, and litigation/arbitration. She has seventeen years of extensive litigation, trial and mediation experience.

Following graduation from State University of New York’s Binghamton University and Hofstra Law School, known for excellence in healthcare law education, D’Arcy moved from New York to Arizona. Her experience includes five years as felony trial team lead in a busy public defender office; managing attorney of a legal aid office; serving as an assistant city magistrate and assistant city attorney; and general counsel for three international healthcare organizations with offices in the Middle East and EU. Her current client mix is comprised of numerous pain management clinics and providers, internal medicine providers, laboratory services, device manufacturers, and substance abuse treatment centers. She continues to provide selective criminal defense to certain indigent clients and works with the Arizona State Bar Modest Means Program to ensure access to justice for low income Arizonans.

Shalini A. Muralidhar, Ph.D., HCLD/TS (ABB)
Laboratory Director

Board Certified as a High complexity Clinical Laboratory director in Molecular Diagnostics with more than 15+ years of experience in diverse fields from Molecular biology, immunology to cancer biology. Experienced professional in molecular and cell biology Research and Development. Have a strong regulatory and compliance knowledge as a College of American Pathology (CAP) inspector. Lead three successful on-site CAP inspections as part of the CAP’s Accreditation program. Experienced in grant writing, which lead to multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals such as Nature and Cell. Successfully obtained CPT-PLA codes from American Medical Association (AMA) for two newly validated laboratory developed tests for reimbursement. 

Safedin Sajo Beqaj, PhD, HCLB (ABB)
Quality Assurance and Clinical Consultant

Dr. Sajo Beqaj is board certified in molecular pathology and genetics and licensed as a Bioanalyst and High Complexity Laboratory Director. He has been practicing as a laboratory director since 2005.

Doctor Beqaj, served as a technical director and was part of the initial management team for several well-known laboratories in clinical lab industry including PathGroup, Nashville, TN; DCL Medical Laboratories, Indianapolis, IN, and Pathology, Inc, Torrance, CA. He is currently serving as off-side CLIA laboratory director for BioCorp Clinical Laboratory, Whittier, CA and Health360 Labs, Garden Grove, CA.

Dr. Baqaj received his Ph.D. in Pathology from Wayne State University Medical School, Detroit, Michigan. He performed his post-doctoral fellowship at Abbott Laboratories from 2001-2003 and with Children’s hospital and Northwestern University from 2003-2005. He is a member of several medical and scientific associations including the Association of Molecular Pathology, American Association of Clinical Chemistry and the Pan Am Society for Clinical Virology. He has served on a number of clinical laboratory regulatory and scientific committees and has assisted several laboratories and physicians as a Clinical Laboratory Consultant.

Elaine Luckey, CLS (ASCP), MBA
Quality Assurance and Compliance Consultant

Elaine has over 15 years’ experience developing and overseeing programs to ensure high quality standards and regulatory compliance with State and Federal agencies. Elaine owns a consulting company, ELuckey Consulting LLC, which provides services to start up genomic and clinical laboratories. She is currently the Director of Quality at PreludeDx in Laguna Hills. Prior to joining Prelude, Elaine was the Director of Quality at Rosetta Genomics (formerly Abbott Cynogen) for over 3 years.

Prior to Abbott, she was the Director of QA and Regulatory Affairs for PathCentral Inc where she implemented a compliance program for the Sales team and was responsible for obtaining the laboratory’s CAP accreditation and New York certification. Prior to PathCentral, Elaine was the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance at Clarient Inc where she implemented Lean training programs for the laboratory scientific personnel. Elaine also has a wealth of experience in setting up Quality Systems for start up Molecular and AP laboratories through her consulting company ELuckey Consulting LLC. She has an MBA from the University of Redlands and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Loma Linda University. Elaine’s other certifications and licenses include a CLS (ASCP) in California, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) and Quality Systems Regulations Certified Professional (QSRCP).

Alexander Stojanoff, PhD, MSc, HCLD
Quality Assurance and Clinical Consultant

A highly successful medical professional in Las Vegas, NV, and a current High Complexity Laboratory Director with the American Board of Bioanalysis, Dr. Alex Stojanoff serves as the founder and Laboratory Director of the Nevada Institute for Fertility and Genetics in Las Vegas, NV. Dr. Alex Stojanoff also enjoys status as a Nevada Licensed Laboratory Director and the Chief Executive Officer and President of Consolidated Laboratory Services, Inc., also in Las Vegas, NV.

Before launching his career as a research scientist and manager, Dr. Alex Stojanoff received a Ph.D. from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Melbourne. He also holds a Master of Science in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Bachelor of Science in Immunology and Biochemistry from Monash University in Australia. During his time as a graduate student, Dr. Stojanoff earned a Monash university Graduate Scholarship, which helped pay for his education in obstetrics and gynecology.

Dr. Alex Stojanoff maintains an active membership in professional organizations such as the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society. Dr. Stojanoff also belongs to several professional organizations in Australia, including the Fertility Society of Australia and the Australian Society for Reproductive Biology.

Michael Casiday
Assay Development Scientist

Michael Casiday is a University of California San Diego alumnus scientist with over a decade of industry experience. He pursued post-graduate training at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center in conjunction with University of California San Francisco. His research focuses on the development of molecular techniques for use in diagnostic tests targeting infectious disease. He is particularly interested in merging data from analyte testing, microbiological cultures and molecular quantification assays to provide a patient total care continuum. Recently his work is focused on optimizing pooled extraction techniques for SARSCoV2 detection workflows. Other areas of research include secondary metric analysis of qPCR data to increase low concentration sensitivity of established high-throughput assays.

Michael is a trained application scientist on platforms distributed by ThermoFisher Scientific, Illumina, Roche, Qiagen, Novartis, GenMark, Luminex, and Hologic to name a few.

Renee Fejeran
Laboratory Operations Manager

As Laboratory Operations Manager, Renee coordinates the implementation and maintenance of physician office and reference laboratories. She ensures compliance with all state regulations and requirements including CLIA and COLA and creates and monitors Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Renee also manages lab support staff and acts as a liaison between the Laboratory Director, Field Program Managers and Operations.

Renee has prior experience as a Technical Lab Supervisor over 9 regional clinical laboratories, as well as roles as a Medical Technologist. She holds a BS in Clinical Laboratory Services and an MS in Integrated Healthcare Management. She is licensed through the Nevada Division of Health and American Society of Clinical Pathology.

Amanda Griffith, MLS (ASCP)
Regional Program Manager

Amanda Griffith is a Regional Program Manager for Assurity Labs and Cuur Diagnostics. She works closely with clients to ensure the highest levels of service and quality are maintained for lab service delivery. Amanda holds a Master of Science in Biology with an emphasis on molecular and genetics from the University of Nebraska Kearney and is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathology as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.

Amanda possesses 17 years of laboratory knowledge and experience. She has experience both as a Medical Laboratory Technician and Medical Laboratory Scientist. Her roles have included responsibilities in lab management, compliance and provider servicing.
